• Networking / Collaboration: Facilitating connections between current leaders and aspiring professionals in the multi-family industry to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship. Example: Lessons with Leaders
• Initiative Creation: Developing initiatives and projects that address key challenges or opportunities within the multi-family industry, such as sustainability initiatives, diversity and inclusion or technological advancements.
• Philanthropic Partnerships: Identifying and partnering with charitable organizations or community initiatives to support philanthropic causes aligned with the association’s values and goals.

Education Committee

Developing quality education for members in Mid-Michigan by considering the unique needs and preferences of members. The committee is dedicated to developing and delivering high-quality education that empowers individuals in the multi-family industry to enhance their skills, knowledge, and professional development.
• Conducts surveys to identify the specific education needs and interests of the members in the Mid-Michigan region. Helping find the best topics, skills or most relevant and valuable education for the membership.
• Explores the knowledge and experience of industry instructors to lead to educational sessions.

Supplier Committee

The Supplier Committee is made up of members interested in creating and promoting events related to suppliers, networking and promoting products and services essential to our on-site teams. These committee members also play a vital role in the growth and success of PMAMM.
• Organizes a yearly supplier sponsored event to showcase each supplier company involved along with networking with those in attendance.
• The Supplier Committee is a the “voice” of PMAMM suppliers when it comes to our yearly Trade Show, Golf outing and Sponsorship Opportunities.

Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee plays a critical role in advocating for the interests of the multi-family industry at the local, state and federal levels. They serve as a legislative and advocacy resource, providing timely information and engaging in strategic advocacy efforts, the Legislative Committee effectively represents the interests of the multi-family industry and contributes to shaping favorable policies and regulations at all levels of government.
• Monitoring Legislation: Stays informed about proposed legislation and regulatory changes that could impact the multi-family industry. This includes tracking bills, ordinances, and regulations at the local, state and federal levels related to housing, property management, zoning, taxation and other relevant areas.
• Advocacy Strategies: Develops advocacy strategies to influence policymakers and decisionmakers in support of the industry’s priorities and objectives. This may include drafting position statements, testifying at legislative hearings, meeting with elected officials, and engaging in grassroots advocacy efforts.
• Education and Outreach: Provides educational resources and information to association members and the broader community about the legislative issues affecting the multi-family industry. This includes hosting informational sessions, webinars and workshops to increase awareness and engagement on legislative matters.
